An ordinary sock can make a funny and original cat. However, you will need a little time and a small amount of materials and a little patience. Such a fake can be done not only by adults, but also by children.
It is necessary
- –A pair of striped socks;
- –Hollow fiber or other filler for soft toys;
- - orange ribbon (7-12 cm);
- - threads to match the color of the sock;
- -needle;
- - buttons in the form of stars.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a sock, turn the heel up and start filling with holofiber, periodically spreading the filling up to the heel of the toe. This will be the body of the cat.
Step 2
Next, take a part of the holofiber and form a small ball with the help of your palms, which will become the head of the toy. Pull the elastic of the sock back and place a soft ball in the remaining space. Tie the ends of the elastic together and sew carefully with any convenient seam.
Step 3
After the body of the cat is formed, you can start making paws. To do this, take the second sock, cut out two identical rectangles. Fold the rectangle in half and sew lengthwise from the wrong side. Turn out each rectangle with fine scissors or a pencil. You should have two fabric feet, which are also filled with holofiber. As a result, sew the finished legs to the cat's body with a blind stitch.
Step 4
For the lower legs, cut out two identical diamonds, fold each in half and sew on one side. Fill each lower leg with holofiber and sew to the end. Attach the lower legs to the body with a blind stitch.
Step 5
Then stick a brown thread into the needle and embroider the eyes, nose, mouth and whiskers on the cat's face. Tie an orange bow-shaped ribbon around the neck and secure with several stitches. Sew the buttons along the torso.
