Original accessories for a garden, a flower bed or "wind chime" - colorful fish decorated with multi-colored pebbles will create a special cozy atmosphere around and fill your everyday life with bright colors.
It is necessary
- - plywood with a thickness of 12 mm and 6 mm;
- - 5 * 4 cm plywood 16 mm thick;
- - aluminum wire 2 mm thick;
- - silver lacquer pencil;
- - yellow, red, blue and green stones for crafts (diameter 11-15 mm);
- - 2 black metal rods 1 m long (diameter 11 mm);
- - transparent strong glue;
- - waterproof wood glue;
- - resistant matte varnish;
- - sanding pads or sandpaper;
- - drill;
- - drills (diameter 5 and 11 mm);
- - wood screws;
- - hair brushes No4, No6;
- - colored acrylic paint.
Instructions
Step 1
Transfer the fish motif to tracing paper, increasing to the appropriate size.
Step 2
Using carbon paper, transfer the fish to thick plywood and the mouth, eyes, and fins to thinner plywood.
Step 3
When translating a motive, translate one detail in a mirror image. Saw out all the parts with a jigsaw.
Step 4
Sand the edges and surfaces of the workpieces with a sanding pad or emery paper.
Step 5
Additionally, cut out 2 pieces of plywood (thickness 16 mm), measuring 7, 5 * 4 cm each. Dilute white acrylic paint in a 1: 1 ratio and prime the fish with a sponge.
Step 6
First paint the fish with yellow paint. Add a little orange and red paint to the still wet paint for toning.
Step 7
Color the blue fish according to the photo. As the paint dries, paint the fish, depicting the eyes, mouth, fins.
Step 8
Glue all parts to the fish with waterproof wood glue. Then translate the circles, write them down and leave until the paints are completely dry.
Step 9
Cover the items with waterproof varnish. Decorate with colored stones using strong glue.
Step 10
Trace the fins and circles with a silver lacquer pencil. Bend the wire with a spiral according to the pattern.
Step 11
Glue a decorative pebble to one end. Drill 2 holes with a diameter of 2 mm on the sides of the mouth and 1 hole on the sides of the tail with a drill.
Step 12
Attach the spirals with glue to the prepared holes. Drill a hole on two pieces of wood at the longitudinal edge in the middle with an 11 mm drill.
Step 13
Glue them to the fish, additionally securing them with a screw. Place colorful fish on metal rods and set in a flower bed, in a garden, or attach on a chain to the "chime of the wind".
