Felt is a textured, bright material. It is used not only as a tool that can be felted. Toys are sewn from it - very small, completely unique. But it is necessary to correctly use decorative seams.

If you need to sew on a part discreetly, it is better to use threads of the same color as the part to be attached. The forward needle technique will work here, but the top stitches should be very small. However, if the detail is literally tiny, it is better to sew it in the same way, making small, neat stitches. Larger parts can be attached using the "forward needle" technology.

Craftsmen often make several layers "in front of the needle", achieving a decorative effect. It also allows you to attach parts beautifully and gracefully.

The "back to the needle" option is very convenient. The thread is laid from left to right. The front stitches should be shorter when compared to the wrong side. The needle is pulled out after two stitches.

A stalk seam is made in two threads, when the row consists of oblique stitches, tightly adjacent to one another. The first stitch is done by yourself. Then the thread must be withdrawn, making sure that it is on the left side, it must be pressed against the fabric, directed in relation to itself. When the second stitch is sewn, the first is pierced from the bottom in the middle, towards the left. The work thread should remain on one side of the half of the previous stitch. No need to change direction.

The chain stitch is somewhat more original. It consists of eyelets. One comes out of the other.

Some other seams look bright - "worm", "zigzag", overcast seam. There are several varieties of "crosses" - from two or six crossed threads, in several rows.

A good decoration is the "goat" stitch, consisting of stitches that cross each other, but not one, but two or more times. They are placed between two lines. They are performed from left to right, punctures are made alternately, making felt punctures both along the upper and lower lines. The distance between the punctures must be kept the same. That is, each new stitch crosses over the previous one. In the middle of the line, the stitches should cross.

Felt is original in itself. It does not need to be dotted with decorative seams, besides, it is better to fasten it using the felting method. Sometimes the details are simply glued to it, although it is better, nevertheless, to make seams.
