Toys made from papier-mâché are distinguished by their original look. The manufacturing technique is very simple, even a beginner or a child can master it. In general, the concept of "papier-mâché" comes from the French word, which means "chewed paper", based on this, one can guess that paper is needed to make figures. Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your workplace. To do this, lay an oilcloth on the table. Since you will periodically get your hands dirty in the glue, prepare a dry cloth in advance. Dilute the wallpaper glue according to the instructions on the package.

Then take the paper and tear it into pieces of three to four centimeters. Please note that you need to tear with your hands so that the edges are uneven.

Then take an apple, coat it with some kind of greasy glue, for example, petroleum jelly. After that, put pieces of paper over it. Remember that the edges of the paper material should lie on top of each other and in no case wrinkle.
Step 4
Next, use a brush to apply another layer of wallpaper glue. Lay down a row of pieces of paper again, and so on. Keep in mind that the more layers, the stronger your Christmas tree toy. You can also glue the last layers of thicker paper.
Step 5
After that, carefully cut the product in half with a sharp knife, take out the apple. Then use an awl to pierce a hole for the string, thread it, and then tie it into a knot.
Step 6
Fold the two halves of the piece together and glue using two or three words of paper. You can make the last row from a piece of white fabric. To do this, carefully smear the top layer and apply a cloth, ironing out any irregularities and avoiding the ingress of air.
Step 7
Let the product dry. This can take even more than a day. Remember to dry it completely. To do this, it is advisable to make a Christmas tree toy in several stages, letting each layer dry.
Step 8
After the figure is dry, start painting it. To do this, take gouache and a brush, draw some kind of New Year's drawing, for example, a Christmas tree. Also let the paints dry completely. Then you can decorate the product with beads, beads and even ordinary foil by gluing them on usually PVA glue.
