To sew such a heating pad for a mug, you will need felt of three colors (green, red, white), thread, lace or hat elastic, 3 buttons in the color of the felt.
1. Determine the size of the future mug warmer. To do this, measure the height of the mug and its girth. Using these measurements, cut out a pattern - a rectangle (its height = the height of the mug minus about 1 cm, the length is the girth of the mug). Also prepare templates for circles of two sizes (large about 2-3 cm, small - 1-2 cm). The exact size of the circle patterns depends on the height of the circle - together, the diameter of the circles should be equal to the height of the heating pad minus 1 cm.
2. Cut a rectangle along the pattern of green felt and circles in red and white.
3. Place the decor on the base of the heating pad. Please note that all parts are symmetrical. Place two more of the same size under each red circle - white and red. Pin the decor and sew vertical stitches on the sewing machine.
4. Sew loops and buttons to the narrow edges of the heating pad on the mug. Before sewing on the buttonholes, try on the product on a mug so that the size of the buttonholes is not too large.
