On a cold night it is so nice to be in the company of a hot heating pad, and if its cover is full of pleasant memories, your dreams will become even sweeter.
It is necessary
- - sleeves from one sweater;
- - rubber heating pad;
- - paper for patterns;
- - ruler;
- - scissors;
- - darning needle;
- - pencil;
- - pins.
Instructions
Step 1
To prepare a pattern for the cover, place the heating pad on the paper and trace its outline with a pencil.
Step 2
Cut 3 identical patterns with a 1, 5 cm seam allowance around the perimeter. Draw horizontal lines on the two patterns as shown in the photo.
Step 3
Cut one pattern along the bottom line and keep only the top from it, and cut the second pattern along the top line and keep only the bottom from it.
Step 4
You will need these two patterns for the back of the cover, and the rest of the pattern for the front.
Step 5
Spread out all three patterns on the ripped pieces of the sweater and pin them so they don't line up. Cut out the details.
Step 6
Overcast the edges of the parts around the perimeter so that they do not crumble when using the cover or when washing.
Step 7
To do this, you can use the loose thread of the collar.
Step 8
Fold the short pieces together so that they overlap and become the same size as the front of the case, and pin them together.
Step 9
Fold the back of the cover over the front and sew along the perimeter, leaving the top edge open.
Step 10
Tuck the upper edge of the cover (neck opening) 1.5 cm inward and hem with a seam "over the edge".
Step 11
Sew a small "hood" from the elastic of the sweater.
Step 12
To do this, cut a piece of elastic to the required length, fold it in half and sew the side and the bottom edge with a back stitch.
Step 13
Sew the edge of the "hood" with a seam "over the edge" to the base of the neck of the cover as shown in the photo.
