And we can drink hot tea without fear that it will cool down and lose its taste. Such a cute heating pad can be presented to mom or grandmother. After all, March 8 is just around the corner …
It is necessary
- -two pieces of fabric that are similar in color
- -shaped braid
- -sintepon
- -lining fabric
- - fabric in contrasting colors
- -sewing machine
Instructions
Step 1
Measure the circumference of the teapot (including handle and spout) and height. In accordance with these dimensions, make a pattern according to the proposed shape. Because Both parts of the heating pad are combined of two colors of fabrics, then we need to first sew strips of fabric by inserting curly braids into the seams and ironing them out.
Step 2
Next, using a ruler, draw parallel stripes at an equal distance from each other. We put a layer of padding polyester and remove all stripes on a typewriter. We will cut the front and back of the heating pad from this quilted fabric.
Step 3
Next, you need to make an applique of contrasting fabric. We take special paper for appliqués, it is sold in needlework stores, we glue it with one side of the iron to the wrong side of the fabric for applique. We cut out the figurine of the teapot and glue it to the future pocket. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Step 4
Now you need to stitch the contour of the teapot on a typewriter with a decorative seam, for example, a zig-zag. We attach the finished pocket to the front of the heating pad. We sew.
Step 5
We make a loop on which you can hang the finished heating pad. We fold the parts of the heating pad with the front side inward, not forgetting to insert the loop and sew.
Step 6
We cut out the details of the lining from the lining fabric, sew, iron them. We insert the lining into the heating pad and sew carefully. The edge can be finished with a bias tape in a suitable color. To keep the lining well, sew it in some places with a blind seam to the heating pad.
