Step 1
On a sheet of cardboard, make a blank - a template. To do this, use a pen or pencil to write the desired combination of capital letters - initials. You can add elements of decoration and complication of letters to the letters in the form of additional strokes. Calligraphic capitalization can be used as an example. Then, using the written strokes, make cuts 2-3 mm thick. This is how a stencil is obtained, according to which you can repeatedly apply inscriptions on the fabric.
Step 2
Using the prepared stencil, transfer these initials with a writing object to the fabric of the thing from the front side. These strokes will be used for embroidery.
Step 3
Choose threads depending on the color of the fabric and the desired color of the embroidered letters. It is better to use threads that contrast with the main fabric. A needle for embroidery should also be selected based on the fabric on which the embroidery will be performed. So, on knitted fabric, it is better to use a needle with a rounded, blunt point. This will preserve the integrity of the threads of the fabric when embroidering.
Step 4
Then you need to choose how the embroidery will be done. Find the most suitable stitch pattern. You can, for example, use a chain seam. This type of seam is also called a loop from a loop. Letters embroidered in this way will have a certain volume and thickness of strokes.
Step 5
When embroidering initials, you can embroider each individual letter in its own color, or you can combine several colors both in one letter or in a separate element of the letter. For example, embroidery strokes for a letter can be sewn in a softer shade in relation to the thread color of the main stroke of a letter element.
