A cardboard hat is one of the simple products that you can create with your own hands in one evening right on the eve of some celebration and decorate in accordance with the theme of the holiday.

Instructions
Step 1
Choose a sheet of cardboard from which you will make the cap. It can be plain or multi-colored cardboard with a pattern. Please note that the cardboard folds easily into a tube and does not leave creases. Otherwise, the cap will be ugly.
Step 2
Roll a piece of cardboard into a cone. See if a hat of this size will suit you. If not, choose a larger piece of cardboard. If so, secure the edges of the cardboard with double-sided tape inside and outside the hood.
Step 3
Draw a cutting line along the base of the hood and cut off the excess cardboard with scissors. Check if the hood can stand upright on a horizontal surface. Such a cap will look better on the head than a cap with a crookedly cut base.
Step 4
Use an awl to make holes for the laces two to three centimeters from the edge of the base of the cap. Pre-secure these places on the cap with transparent tape to avoid possible tears. Insert a string or string into each hole and secure them with knots on the inside of the cap.
Step 5
Decorate the base of the hat with fringe or braid. You can take the fringe ready-made or cut it out of paper and glue it to the base of the cap with PVA glue or rubber glue.
Step 6
Decorate the end of your cap with a brush. To do this, even when folding the cardboard with a cone, leave a small hole at its end for a lace with a tassel. Make a brush out of threads. It can be hung on a long string or string, or it can be attached directly to the cap itself. Instead of a tassel, you can use a pompom, which can be made from thread or from fur. And instead of a pom-pom, you can use a light tulle fabric to match the main color of the cardboard. Then you get a cap with a train, like a fairy. True, such a cap should be rolled up with a narrower and longer cone than an ordinary cap.
