Petersburg is one of the most picturesque cities in Russia, which can serve as a background for a beautiful portrait photo session or be the protagonist of any photography. To do this, it is enough just to go out into the streets of the city with a camera.

Instructions

Step 1

With the same model, but in different places in St. Petersburg, you can create not one, but dozens and hundreds of photo sessions, with completely different moods and images. When we talk about St. Petersburg, we usually mean the city center, but great photos can be taken in Peterhof, Pavlovsk, Gatchina and Tsarskoye Selo, which are part of the city's territory.

Step 2

Roofs are perhaps the most recognizable film set in St. Petersburg. From here you can see the whole city: canals, bridges, the Neva, the surrounding houses. Finding an open roof is not easy, but there are several groups of roofers on social media (roof and height lovers) who can suggest open spaces or spend for a fee or for a photo shoot. Also, you can climb the rooftops or terraces of restaurants, cafes and anti-cafes of the city and take a few shots from there. As a rule, all the most beautiful areas for filming from above are located in the city center.

Step 3

The second most popular background for photography are the numerous rivers and canals of St. Petersburg. Very beautiful shots can be taken from the ship: both river trams, which run in the water area of St. Petersburg from April to October, and small river boats leased will do. The most beautiful for a shot from the shore is the Griboyedov Canal, as well as the Fontanka River with the embankment of the same name. The most recognizable St. Petersburg photographs can be taken in the Hermitage area, Palace Square, and the Neva embankment.

Step 4

The most colorful and unusual shots are usually taken in the area of Sadovaya Street, and in particular in the vicinity of the famous Aprashkin Dvor. Here you can see an unpretentious Petersburg: courtyards, wells, black stairs leading to the attic and the roof, abandoned houses. Such places are ideal for an unusual photo shoot in the style of "street art" or for a non-trivial "dark nude".

Step 5

Within St. Petersburg, you can hold a vivid photo session in nature in the Elagin Park area on Krestovsky Island. In addition to a very beautiful green area surrounded by water on all sides, here you can find small boats for rent, a small palace, beloved by wedding photographers (this is where most of the city's wedding photo shoots are held), ducks and squirrels that constantly fall into the frame.

Step 6

Shooting against the backdrop of majestic palaces is best done in Tsarskoe Selo (Pushkin) and in Peterhof (these two cities are part of the agglomeration of St. Petersburg). It is good to shoot weddings, costume and themed photo shoots here.
