Many who like to take pictures have at least once tried to "catch in the frame" lightning. But not everyone succeeded. But photos with lightning look mysterious and bewitching. To add a zipper photo to your collection? It is not at all necessary to sit for hours with a camera in rainy weather and catch the right moment, because you can depict it in Photoshop yourself. If everything is done correctly, then the drawn lightning will be difficult to distinguish from the real one.
Instructions
Step 1
Pick a photo with the sky on which you want to draw lightning. Try not to choose sunny photos as they convey a cheerful mood. The chosen photo should be with gray shades, it is best to have clouds on it. Open the photo through Photoshop.
Step 2
Create a new layer. On it, using the Rectangular Marquee Tool, make a wide selection. Fill the resulting selection with a gradient. How you fill the selected area will determine what kind of lightning you end up with.
Step 3
Find the "Filter" menu, in it move the arrow to the item "Rendering". In the list that opens, select Overlay Clouds.
Step 4
Go to the "Image" menu, find the "Correction" item there and select "Inversion". After that, the resulting lightning will turn white.
Step 5
Go to the same item again, but this time click on "Levels". Move the flags and see how the lightning changes from this. Choose the position of the flags you like and apply it to the photo.
Step 6
Go to the same menu again and find “Hue / Saturation” there. Select the "Toning" function. Experiment with the three setting options, choosing the values that work best for you.
Step 7
Press the key combination Ctrl + T - this will reduce the zipper to the required size. To reduce proportionally, hold down the Shift key.
Step 8
Change the current mode to Light Replacement. Now the lightning is almost ready, it remains only to lighten the place from where it strikes a little.
Step 9
Take the Dodge Tool. Move it to the desired location, press and hold the left mouse button. With gentle strokes, slowly start driving the bleach over the area you want to bleach. Remember that you don't need to release the mouse button. The zipper is now completely ready.
