It is much more effective to build a pattern for the base of trousers for a girl, and then, on its basis, design a wide variety of models of trousers, capris, shorts and breeches.
Step 2
For sewing breeches, a dense, shaped woolen or cotton fabric is suitable: denim, flannel, corduroy for cool days or coarse calico, linen, a header for summer.
Step 3
After the pattern for the base of the trousers is ready, set aside the desired length of the trousers from the top line down vertically and draw a parallel line. If you want the breeches to tuck up at the bottom, cut the pattern vertically in three places and move it 2-3 cm apart, so you can lay small folds or make gathers in the bottom of the leg.
Step 4
Fold the fabric in half with the right side inward. Lay the breeches pattern on the fabric and circle with tailor's chalk or remnant. Cut out the details, leaving seam allowances (one and a half centimeters) along all the cuts.
Step 5
Sweep side cuts and step cuts, machine stitch and overcast. Iron all seams. Then insert the leg pieces into each other and sweep the seat line. Machine stitch and overcast. Fold the upper cut to the wrong side twice, so that you can freely insert an elastic band or cord into the drawstring. Sew with a typewriter, leaving a short distance unstitched.
Step 6
Fold or gather the hem of the leg and sew the hem. To make the breeches fit freely, make fasteners on the sides - buttons or buttons.
Step 7
Insert an elastic band or cord into the drawstring. Sew on the pockets.
