Berets are popular and fashionable headwear, especially if such a headpiece is made in an exclusive version. This is possible if you sew it yourself. To do this is not at all difficult and fast enough. The main thing is to know the basic principles of such a process.

Step 1
Please note that berets have a different volume, shape, and width of the pots (size strips). They are sewn from drape, leather, velvet, suede, fur, knitted fabric and other materials. In order to sew a velvet beret, you must have a fabric measuring 30x150 cm, a fabric for lining 30x90 cm.
Step 2
First, make several parts: one bottom, one beret band, two crowns. First of all, connect the sides of the parts with a centimeter seam and smooth with an iron. Then connect the bottom to the walls, stitch the edges and smooth them with an iron in the right direction. Iron the beret pad in the same way.
Step 3
Then connect the lining parts and the base with the wrong side inward and straighten the lower ends. Connect the rim to the sides, and then bring the narrow end sides together to form the beret into a ring. Smooth it out with an iron.
Step 4
Attach a band to the bottom of the beret by attaching it to the gasket. Sew the band onto the wall with a typewriter, at the same time turning it over the face of the headdress. If the band is made of leather, the inner side is separated by the main fabric - velvet. All this must be done in this way: cut out a part in the shape of a band from velvet fabric and connect it with the longitudinal side, hiding the front part inward. Iron the beret thoroughly and add decorative details.
Step 5
If you are going to sew a beret from red or black velvet, then you must in advance choose soft pile fabrics that can be decorated and draped. You can also use a bright, beautiful brooch, a bow made of a rep ribbon in a bright monochromatic color as a velvet beret decor. A leather band can also serve as a decoration for a piece of clothing. You can make the decoration more original by connecting your own imagination.
