Instructions
Step 1
We take a piece of thread of red, white or black color, about 20-25 centimeters long, thread the thread through the eye of the needle, without tying a knot, connect both ends of the thread with the fingers of our right hand.
Step 2
Turn the left hand palm up. We lower and raise the needle three times, holding the thread, between the thumb and forefinger. We transfer the needle, lightly touch the center of the palm with the tip of the needle to stop the movement. Carefully lift and hold it over the center of the palm at a height of about 5 centimeters.
The needle begins to move either as a pendulum or in a circular motion. We repeat the process until the needle remains motionless over the center of the palm.
Step 3
The number of repetitions, when the needle moves, means the number of living children, both future and already born. Children who are not destined to be born, in the event of, for example, spontaneous abortion, the needle does not "show".
Also, the needle indicates the sex of the child: if the movement is a pendulum, a boy will be born, if the circular movement is a girl.
