It is necessary
Thread, book, scissors, hook
Instructions
Step 1
If the shawl has already been made and the finishing touch in the form of brushes remains, then this will require threads of the same texture and color scheme. If the scarf is knitted from yarn of several colors, then the same threads can be used for brushes.
Step 2
Before making the brushes themselves, you need to cut the blanks, which will turn out to be a fairly large number. When manufacturing, take into account their length, therefore, when calculating, such a thread is taken that corresponds to twice the length of the brush. For example, the chosen length of the brush is 15 cm, therefore, you need to make segments 30 cm long. It is also necessary to take into account how "fluffy" each brush will be, and, based on this, calculate the number of cut blanks. Let's say the brush contains 10 threads, therefore, 5 blanks are required to make it.
Step 3
In order to make it convenient to make blanks, pick up a book with a width of 15 cm. Then take a skein of yarn and start wrapping the book evenly across the width. After that, cut the wound threads on one side. The result is workpieces of the required size. If their number is not enough, then do the same manipulations several more times. This method will save you from the time-consuming and laborious process of making brushes for a ruler.
Step 4
To form the brushes, combine the threads of 5 pieces, then take each bundle by the middle, pass the hook over the edge of the shawl, grab the middle of the intended brush and pull the edges of the threads through the loop formed. This will create a brush for a shawl. Continue to perform the same manipulations at regular intervals. The smaller you make the distance between the brushes, the fluffier and more voluminous the fringe will look on the product. After all the brushes are secured to the edge of the shawl, trim them with scissors.
Step 5
You can slightly modify the resulting decoration. In this case, divide two adjacent brushes into 2 parts and connect them with a knot. So keep tying every adjacent brushes. As a result, they can be made in the form of a wicker net, which will help to add a note of originality to the decoration of a cozy, beautiful product.
