A scarf is an indispensable item in cold weather. However, besides its functional use for warmth, the scarf can be used for beauty if worn outside of outerwear. To do this, it needs to be tied more authentic and decorated with brushes.
It is necessary
- Threads
- Scissors
- Hook
- Book (wide cardboard)
Instructions
Step 1
In order to decorate a scarf with tassels, you need to decide what thread you need to use for the brushes. Usually, brushes are made of the same nickname / current as a scarf. But if you want to give the scarf extra brightness, then it is recommended to make brushes from contrasting threads, or at least add several different colors to the brushes.
Step 2
Once the threads are selected, you need to choose the length of the brushes. The optimal length is usually 15 cm. To obtain a brush 15 cm long, you need to cut the threads twice as long, that is, 30 cm.
Step 3
You can use a book or thick cardboard to cut the threads. A thread is wound round them on them, and then it is evenly cut along one of the sides.
Step 4
After that, you need to form the brushes and fasten them in turn on the scarf. You can fasten thin tassels of several threads, but do this in each loop of the scarf. Or you can make the brushes thicker, but at the same time fix them at small intervals. The fixing is done as follows. Several threads are crocheted through the loop and tightened at the edge of the scarf.
