The neckline is one of the pieces of clothing that can completely transform a knitted model. You can knit several things according to the same pattern and make changes only in the neck: shape it in the form of a pretentious figure or a simple "boat", make it deep or raise it and combine it with a stand-up collar … In needlework manuals there are many options for a cutout that can be crocheted … For a novice craftswoman, it is enough to learn the basic shapes: triangular and round.
It is necessary
- - hook;
- - cotton thread;
- - centimeter;
- - pattern of the desired size.
Instructions
Step 1
Try crocheting a corner cutout in the shape of a triangle. You will have a classic neckline - it fits perfectly with women's, men's and children's pullovers and vests. Calculate the beginning of the cut (its depth) individually and tie the front fabric to this point. Do not knit the central pair of columns (this is the "toe" of the neck).
Step 2
Begin to gradually decrease the columns along the left and right edges of the knitted fabric. To do this, in every second row, do not knit one or two columns that are located at the very toe. If the cuts occurred at the beginning of the row, skip one or two columns of the lower row and knit from the next loop. At the end of the row, just don't knit the required number of stitches.
Step 3
The rhythm of the decrease should always be the same, so calculate it ahead of time. For example, if you decrease the columns in every fourth row, then the “corner” cutout will turn out to be deep and sharp. For a short neckline, cut the canvas through a row, immediately by a couple of columns on each side.
Step 4
Start crocheting the semicircular cut. Medium width shallow neck will fit most models. A deeper and wider neckline lends a feminine touch. Tie the front of the garment to the beginning of the neckline and adjust the width.
Step 5
Depending on the width of the neckline, count a certain number of center posts and do not knit them. Now the corners of the cut need to be rounded. To do this, evenly (strictly symmetrically) cut the canvas on both sides, doing it through a row. First, on the left and on the right, take out of work four edge columns at once; then cut the canvas six times on a couple of columns on each side; and seven more times - just one column.
Step 6
When rounding the neckline, check each completed row with the pattern of the product of the required size. Perhaps, due to the peculiarities of the density of your knitting, you will have to take a different number of posts out of work.
Step 7
When crocheting the cutout on the back of the model, you need to take the finished front part as a sample. The width of the neckline of the front and back of the cut detail must certainly match. Vary the depth at your discretion. The classic "corner" and U-shaped cut are usually made from the back a couple of centimeters deep.
