A knitted sweater is usually called a model with two front details on a fastener. It is a comfortable and therefore extremely popular wardrobe item. Each knitter can experiment with colors, patterns and shapes according to her skill and imagination. Even one detail - the neckline - can radically change the appearance of clothes. The neckline can be made curly, beautifully crocheted, sewn to it with a turn-down collar … It is recommended that a beginner first master the classic U-shaped neck of a sweater.

It is necessary

  • - pattern;
  • - two straight knitting needles;
  • - yarn;
  • - hook;
  • - buttons;
  • - threads;
  • - a needle.

Instructions

Step 1

Examine the pattern of the future sweater and correlate it with the knitting density (in a small sample, count the number of loops in height and length). It is recommended to draw a sketch of the neckline and try it on in front of a mirror. The depth of the cut should be chosen carefully, according to the individual characteristics of the figure.

Step 2

Start knitting the sweater from the back. While you are working on this element of the cut, you can correct the pattern of the front and change something in it. For the part, dial the required number of loops and make 7-10 cm with an elastic band - this is the bottom edge of the sweater.

Step 3

Expand the back fabric by evenly adding loops in the last front row of elastic. For example, if you initially cast on 114 loops, it is enough to add 18 (total on the needles - 132 loops).

Step 4

Knit in the pattern of your choice until you reach the armhole area of the sleeves (check pattern). Round the knitted fabric symmetrically on the left and right sides. To do this, you need to make decreases: in every second row, close 4 loops 1 time; 2 times 3; a couple more times - 2, then 6 times reduce the work on the loop on each side. In this example, out of 132 stitches, 92 should remain on the needles.

Step 5

Try on a loose knit to define the beginning of the neckline. To complete it, you need to close the loops. At the same time, you will be doing the bevels for the shoulders. Work in the following sequence:

- count the required number of central loops for the neck of the sweater according to the pattern (bottom of the back of the cutout). In our example, this is 26 loops;

- in every second row, decrease 2 loops on the left and right sides (3 times in total);

- for the shoulder line, close in every second row: 1 time - 6 loops at once, the next 3 times - 7 loops on the left and right sides of the work;

- close the hinges of the last row of the part.

Step 6

Follow the left shelf of the jacket. Cast on the loops (the original number of back loops divided by 2; if the basic pattern requires an even number, add another loop). In this case: 114: 2 + 1 = 58.

Step 7

Tie an elastic band, like at the back of the sweatshirt. In the last front row of elastic fabric, make the necessary additions (here - 9 additional loops).

Step 8

Knit with a basic pattern until you reach the neck of the sweater. Correct the neckline carefully, attach the knitting to the paper pattern. After that, on the left side of the shelves, close:

- 1 time on the loop;

- alternately in every second, then in every fourth row - 14 times along the loop;

- in every fourth row - 5 times in the loop.

Step 9

In the process of working on the neckline, do not forget to make the armholes and bevels of the shoulders, focusing on the finished back of the product.

Step 10

Work on the right shelf in the same way, but in a mirror image.

Step 11

Start making the sleeves of the sweater from the cuffs (elastic about 7 cm), then in the last row of each part, add the loops evenly. Here: 50 cuff loops plus 23.

Step 12

The fabric of the sleeves must be gradually increased so that it turns out to be wedge-shaped. To do this, in every sixth front row, add: 7 times along the loop; alternately in every fourth and sixth row - 10 times in the loop.

Step 13

Carefully make the cuffs of the sleeves - they must exactly match the knitted armhole! In this example:

- having reached the required length of the part, 3 loops are immediately closed on both sides for the round;

- in every second row 6 times, 2 loops;

- then 14 times along the loop;

- 5 times 2 loops and 2 times 3 loops.

Step 14

Close the loop of the sleeves and collect all the finished elements of the jacket. Steam them off and let dry completely. After that, make the connecting seams of the back and shelves, sew on the sleeves. The edge of the shelves and the neck of the jacket should be tied with a well-fixed pattern. For example, garter stitch or 2-3 rows of single crochet stitches. Make holes for the fasteners on the right plank.

Step 15

You just have to sew on the buttons and, if you wish, decorate the finished product with embroidery on knitted fabric, beads, appliqués or other decorative elements.
