Norwegian sweaters are unusually warm thanks to the special weave of natural wool yarns. They are not afraid of any frost. They are also very beautiful. Traditionally, snowflakes, deer and geometric jacquard patterns are knitted on them.
It is necessary
- - 700 - 1000 g of sheep wool yarn;
- - circular needles number 4 - 5;
- - tapestry needle.
Instructions
Step 1
Make the first inlaid row and close the knitting in a circle, then knit the back and before round. Work 5-7 cm with 1x1 or 2x2 elastic. so that the elastic does not stretch while wearing, knit it as tightly as possible. Then move on to knitting with larger diameter knitting needles. Knit all rows only with front loops.
Step 2
Lay the jacquard pattern in front of you. Please note that it usually shows all the rows. The traditional Norwegian pattern alternates between 2 and 5 colors. Cross the threads tightly when changing colors to avoid holes.
Step 3
Once knit to the armhole line, place the required number of buttonholes for the sleeve on a piece of yarn in a contrasting color. Set aside knitting and move on to the sleeves. Cast on the required number of stitches on the needles and knit around the sleeve to the required length.
Step 4
Connect the knitting of the sleeves, front and back and continue knitting in a circle. Decorate the yoke with a geometric pattern and make the necessary decreases, according to the knitting pattern. Tie the neckline with a 1x1 elastic or a hollow elastic.
Step 5
Connect the loops of the sleeves and armholes and sew them with a knitted seam with the same thread that was used to knit the sweater. The product is ready.
Step 6
To keep your sweater soft and comfortable, hand wash it in warm water with a special product or shampoo. Spread it out on a flat surface and dry it. Now you can put on your warm and smart Norwegian sweater.
Step 7
A large pattern (deer or snowflakes) can also be embroidered. To do this, use a tapestry needle with a rounded tip and a large eye. Embroider according to the pattern, imitating the loops of a knitted fabric. Do not tighten the stitches, but do not make them too loose.
