People have played role-playing games since antiquity. Many rituals have their origins in role-playing games. Such games are necessary for a child - he learns to live in them. But role-playing games are necessary for adolescents and even adults. No wonder they have become so popular in the last few decades. Role-play is a model of a certain situation. This model is implemented by a group of people, and the success of the game depends on the actions of each.
It is necessary
- Costume or costume details
- Book or movie based on the plot of the game
Instructions
Step 1
Create a game world. Determine the time and space in which the game takes place. For children's games, the time and place is determined either by the teacher or by the participants themselves, having agreed on exactly where and what they will play, as well as the intended plot. For adult players, the time and place of the action is organized by the master.
Step 2
Determine the goal of the game. The characters of the characters and their methods of action will depend on this. There are four types of games common to children and adults: dramatization, war, mystery, and simulation. Children practically do not play extreme games. Remember that the goal in the game is optional; for many RPGs, roleplaying is more important.
Step 3
For a successful literary play, be sure to read the book. If you have a game for a historical period - perhaps study this period in more detail, customs, costumes, the attitude of the people who lived then. Imagine yourself in their place
Step 4
Develop storylines if the players, not the GM, are doing it. Children usually agree on what exactly they will play, what they can and cannot do. Adults actually do the same.
Step 5
Discuss the rules of the game. It is necessary to act within the framework of the rules, but in all other respects the player is usually given complete freedom. The quality of wagering depends solely on him.
Step 6
Perhaps more accurately imagine the appearance and speech features of your character. Make a costume if necessary. Agree in advance whether you need a complete one, or you can limit yourself to some details. For children's games, the details of the costumes are either prepared in advance by the teacher, or the children themselves make them from improvised means. Adult players are advised to do the same.
Step 7
Imagine how your character acts in various situations that are possible in the game according to these rules. There is a hard plot only in a theatrical game, when this or that literary work or film is played out. In all other cases, game situations depend not only on the master, but to a large extent on the players themselves.
Step 8
Do not get lost if one of the characters does not act as it should be according to the plot. Try to improvise according to the rules. It's up to you to get the plot back on track or develop it in some other direction.
Step 9
After the game, analyze if you did everything as it should. Usually, players conduct a "debriefing", but if suddenly this is not - determine for yourself how you played and what needs to be done so that the next game is no worse than the previous one or more successful.
