Drawing different animals is a pleasure. Using general knowledge about the structure of an animal, you can draw it quickly and easily. To draw a swan, follow these simple instructions.

Step 1
Take a piece of paper and a pencil. Any object, bird or animal can be drawn using geometric shapes. This is due to the fact that all objects can be inscribed in simple geometric shapes, such as a circle, oval, triangle, and so on.
Mark the body with a large oval. The neck is a pair of long ovals. The swan's neck is long and thin. It is two-thirds the size of a swan. Draw a circle around the head. Mark the nose again with an oval.
Now you can refine the details of the swan shape. It's better if you use a hint. A photograph or picture of a swan will make the task easier.
Work on the sketch until you achieve smooth flying lines. The somewhat exaggerated dynamism of these lines will help create a sense of movement.
Work out the outlines more precisely. Sharpen corners where necessary. Draw the wings, tail, eyes of the swan.
At this stage, use a soft pencil and do not press too hard, the lines should be smooth and soft.
Before you start coloring, erase all the wrong and auxiliary lines.
Step 2
Paint over the entire swan with a pale white solution. Apply a second coat of light blue or light blue to the areas at the bottom of the swan. This will give his figure volume.
Paint the background blue. It will be a lake. Use a variegated wash of cobalt green, ultramarine blue with a third number flute.
Dip the edge of a piece of cardboard in paint and paint horizontally to create ripples in the water. Let the paint dry.
Using a mixture of black and blue, use uneven strokes to make a reflection under the swan. With a small brush in light blue, paint in places a glimpse of light on the crests of the waves.
Step 3
Mix some ultramarine blue with Chinese white gouache on your palette. Use an off-white shade to add detail to the body and wings of the swan. Use Chinese white gouache for highlights on the ends of the tail feathers.
Use the number 7 brush to paint the swan's beak in Chinese white gouache. When it is completely dry, paint over it with a light wash of crown yellow. Then wash your brush, dip it in black gouache and paint the details of the bird's eyes and beak.
Dip the number one brush again in black gouache, draw a line along the swan's neck to make it seem more voluminous. Apply the same technique around the tail feathers so that they appear to be lying on top of one another.
The painting is finished. The white swan contrasts well with the translucent blue surface of the water and the deep shadow under it. This combination emphasizes the fluidity of the water and the airiness of the swan.
