Biography facts

The future singer was born in the capital in 1966. Mom worked as a bibliographer at the institute, father was a worker at a factory. His parents got married at a very early age. Soon after the wedding, they had a son. Perhaps due to the fact that they were not ready for family life, their union quickly fell apart. Serezha was raised mainly by women.

As Sergei himself writes in his memoirs, his mother and grandmother devoted their entire lives to work in the library sphere. Both great-grandmothers studied and were brought up at the institute for noble maidens during the time of tsarist Russia.

In childhood, the boy spent a lot of time surrounded by teenagers. In those years, there were many old courtyards in the capital, where children enjoyed playing hide and seek, football, and later sat on benches and sang songs with a guitar. And the boys also loved to walk on the roofs, along which one could get from one street to another and go around the whole block.

When Sergei was five years old, representatives of the music school held an audition in the kindergarten where he went in those years. So he got into the boys' choir, began to study singing and music. Only the best kids with natural talent were selected for this musical institution. In the afternoon, the guys learned to write and read, and in the afternoon they took musical preparation. A year later, Seryozha went to the first grade of the same music school.

The boy wrote his first works at the age of seven. At first it was a hip, then he began to write sketches, fugues and even tried to create his own sonata. At the age of ten, he already played the piano professionally and performed works of famous composers and musicians: Bach, Mozart, Rachmaninov, Schubert. He was promised an excellent career in classical music, but fate decreed otherwise.

When Sergei turned thirteen, he went to a pioneer camp for the summer. Once, participating in the military-sports game "Zarnitsa", he decided to distinguish himself and climb the tallest tree with an observation deck. Having reached the top, he entered the platform, but it was not securely fixed. The boy fell down from a height of twelve meters. When he fell, he instinctively put his hands in front of him and the whole blow came precisely to them.

The child was taken to the hospital, he was given a disappointing diagnosis - multiple fractures on both arms. Sergei bravely underwent a large number of operations. The doctors did a real feat and literally put the boy's hands together in parts. But the career of a professional musician could be forgotten.

While Seryozha was in the hospital for several months in rehabilitation, he began to write poetry. He himself could not write at that time yet, friends under dictation wrote down the lines that were being born. This allowed him to experience the state in which he was for a long time after the injury, and to look at his life in a completely new way.

When the plaster was removed, he realized that he practically could not control his own hands. It took many months to recover. Through excruciating pain, he developed fingers that refused to obey him. The sets of exercises did not give results. Then Sergey decided to seriously go in for sports and went to the karate and weightlifting section. Only a year later, he was able to recover and start managing with his own hands.

In the seventh grade, Trofim first heard the great rock musicians Queen and AC / DC. Then he had the idea to start composing his own songs.

After graduating from high school, Sergei continued his education at the Institute of Culture at the department of cultural and educational work. There he first heard Cossack songs, the music of the Russian north, and even went on a folklore expedition.

He left the institute after the third year, because he was not interested, and went to enter the Conservatory in the department of music theory. But Trofim could not study there either. In those years, students had to devote a lot of time to history and Marxist-Leninist philosophy, because musicians in the USSR were obliged to strictly follow the ideology and direction set by the party and government. This is exactly what did not suit Sergei. He left the educational institution without receiving a diploma.

Creative way

In the early 1980s, the rock movement began to actively develop in our country. Trofim, together with his friends from the chapel, created a rock group called "Kant" and began performing on the stages of the Houses of Culture located in the Moscow region.

In 1985, the group performed at the festival of youth and students and became its laureate. It was then that Trofim met Svetlana Vladimirskaya, for whom he composed the song "I don't want to lose you." It was a real hit that brought success not only to the singer, but also to the author. Then Trofim received his first fee of $ 150.

During the same period, Sergei began to work at the Orekhovo restaurant, where he sings his own songs. After working for two years, he joined one of the so-called "concert brigades" touring the country. Together with the performers known in those years, Trofim traveled across the country, giving several concerts a day. This continued until the perestroika began.

For many musicians, this time was very difficult, some could not survive it and went to another world or left the country, and someone simply stopped performing. In the early 1990s, Sergei went to the Orthodox faith and the church. He was a choir singer and later became choir director.

Even in those days, he did not stop writing poetry and songs. When Sergei decided to become a monk, his spiritual mentor dissuaded him from this step, saying that if something new is born in the heart, then it is impossible to choose the path of a monk. You need to serve people and realize your destiny. So Sergei left the church and began writing music and songs, which even today sound not only in his performance, but also in the performance of many famous and popular singers.
