A photograph is what will remind you of what you looked like. Even years later, you can admire a good shot, one glance at which can cheer you up. Unsuccessful shots are carefully hidden away. Why do some people everywhere turn out well, while others so often look insecure and as if superfluous in the picture? Photogenicity - the ability to be photographed beautifully - is not an innate talent, but an acquired skill.

Instructions

Step 1

Do not panic. Often people are bad at taking pictures, because as soon as they see that they want to be photographed, they start waving their hands, making grimaces, as if to say, “you don’t need to shoot me”, but they are still photographed, and in the pictures all these grimaces remain. Or the person is embarrassed, hiding from the camera, looking away, trying to look serious. Just relax. Believe that you are beautiful - and it will certainly show in the photos!

Step 2

Makeup. If you can prepare for your photo shoot in advance, then be sure to apply makeup using some techniques to make it look better in the photo. Use a matte foundation, because if the skin is a little shiny, then in life it is almost invisible, but in the picture the slightest shine will turn into radiant cheeks or forehead. If possible, powder your face a few minutes before shooting. Use a slightly brighter eye makeup than usual.

Step 3

Clothing. It is better to choose clothes that will not distract attention from your face with their bright colors. Monochromatic clothes look much better in the photo, but, especially if they are of a bright color, it is necessary for this color to be in harmony with the makeup.

Step 4

Pose for shooting. Don't slouch in front of the camera. Don't try to take unnatural "pretty" postures. The best pictures are taken when people look natural and relaxed. But this does not mean that you need to lie back in an armchair or on a sofa and demonstrate your shortcomings. Know what unfortunate properties of your figure are best to hide, dress and sit or stand so that the flaws are invisible. For example, if you have a double chin, you do not need to look at the camera from under your brows, collecting it in folds. It would be better to raise your head, looking somewhat down. The three-quarter angle allows you to capture successful shots for almost all types of figures and faces.

Step 5

Smile. A real soulful smile will make your shot look great, even if everything else didn't turn out quite the way you would like. There are photographs where people literally shine, but the whole point is just how they smile! If you want a radiant smile to light up your face, think of a loved one, imagine that you are looking at him. Do not smile picturesquely, the Hollywood "hundred dollar smile" is not for everyone.
