A professional florist with a developed artistic taste can compose an exquisite and expressive bouquet even from flowers that are completely incompatible in the eyes of an ordinary person. Step 1
Combine several types of flowers for a varied and interesting bouquet. To keep it from looking too colorful, use flowers of the same shades. A bouquet in a vase will look more natural if the flowers have different heights. To create a bouquet in a basket, choose flowers of the same height.
Step 2
Do not combine simple flowers with exotic ones, so that the combination does not look absurd. A bouquet of wildflowers is best diluted with herbs. Field iris, sunflower and solidago are considered universal flowers that can be added to bouquets of a similar palette.
Step 3
Combine flowers that are at different stages of dissolution. Young buds look advantageous against the background of mature ones that have opened. Flowers in a bouquet should not be in a dense bunch, but feel free. By adding thuja or geranium to the bouquet, keep it fresh for longer.
Step 4
Cut flowers for a bouquet with a sharp knife in the early morning or evening. Clean the lower part of the stem from leaves and thorns. Immediately before arranging the bouquet, update the cuts with a sharp knife, making the cut obliquely. Burn the stems of flowers containing latex or milky juice over a fire, then put them in boiling water and place them in cold water. To prevent lilies from getting dirty with pollen, remove their anthers.
Step 5
Decide on the shape and size of the bouquet and select for it an odd number of flowers with stems of different lengths. The shortest stem should be at least half the length of the average, and the latter should be half the length of the longest stem.
Step 6
Place the flowers in the vase at different angles in different directions. Place pale and small flowers closer to the edges of the bouquet, and place the largest and juicy ones in the center. Highlight beautiful flowers so they are immediately visible.
Step 7
Try to dilute the bouquet with a variety of greens. Use light grains as decorative elements, arranging them in such a way that they rise above the large flowers. Place hanging or climbing arrangement plants near the stems of the primary flowers.
