Candy bouquets have gained immense popularity lately, and this is not surprising. Not only does it combine the two main functions of a popular gift - the beauty of the bouquet and the sweetness of sweets, besides, such a bouquet will keep its beauty for a very long time and will not wither until it is eaten.
Usually bouquets are ordered from firms that specialize in this type of sweet creativity, however, making bouquets from sweets is not very difficult, you can try to assemble them yourself. It will be much cheaper and much more interesting, especially if children are involved in the process.
How to make bouquets of sweets on your own?
To correctly make bouquets of sweets, you need to prepare all the necessary materials:
- the basis of the bouquet is a flower pot, a basket woven from a vine, a glass vase, a toy car or similar items;
- floristic oasis - a special material resembling elastic foam, on which parts of the bouquet will be attached;
- multi-colored and multi-textured colored paper or foil;
- wooden or plastic skewers of different lengths;
- ribbons and colored threads;
- scotch tape, glue, scissors;
- candies of various shapes (balls, pyramids, cones, hemispheres, it is inconvenient to fix classic rectangular candies) in colorful bright wrappers;
- flowers, greenery, toys, feathers, butterflies and any other decorative elements of bouquets.
The main stages of assembling a bouquet:
1. Preparation of the base. Cover the pot or other base with wrapping paper. An oasis is cut out according to the internal dimensions so that it fits tightly inside. You do not need to glue a vase, basket or toy.
2. Preparation of decor.
We pierce small multi-colored squares of wrapping paper in layers stacked on top of each other with a skewer, and fix the resulting flower at the end of the skewer with tape or thread.
3. Preparation of sweets.
Selected candies can be attached to the skewer in various ways:
- wrap with a net for flowers, foil, transparent polyethylene, fasten the ends of the bag with tape or thread on a skewer;
- make a cone of foil, hide the candy there, glue the cone and prick it on a skewer with the base;
- make a skirt from the material around the candy so that it looks out like the center of a flower, fasten the bottom of the skirt on a skewer with a bow from packing tape, etc.
4. Assembling the bouquet.
Prepared candies and decorative elements are inserted into the mold so that no voids are visible. You can additionally decorate the bouquet with fresh flowers or green leaves. When assembling, the main thing is your imagination. After completing the assembly, you can pack the bouquet in a plastic bag with colored tape or simply wrap it with a net.
