This idea is another example of a successful solution for creating jewelry from scrap materials.
genuine leather, a piece of chain, a lock for jewelry, rings, cardboard, scissors, small pliers, awl.
a chain, a lock and rings can be purchased in a creative store, but if you do not work professionally with it, you will have to look for leather. Use whole pieces of old gloves or tops of boots, bags that you are about to throw away, a leather belt will also work.
1. Choose the tightest and smoothest piece of leather.
2. Make a template (semicircle) out of cardboard. Choose the diameter of the circle yourself, but in my opinion, the most suitable size is from 3 to 4 cm.
3. Using a template, cut out 6 pieces from the leather for the center of the necklace.
4. Use an awl to poke holes in each leather semicircle.
5. Using rings, connect the leather parts to each other as shown in the photo.
6. Attach two pieces of chain to the edges of the central part of the necklace (the length of each piece should be such that the necklace at least freely wraps around your neck). Attach the lock to the ends of the chains using rings.
The necklace is ready!
try to "play" with the shape of the necklace - cut out not semicircles, but triangles or squares from the leather, change the amount of leather details in the central part.
