Step 1
You can make a beautiful and original hairpin from leather as a gift for your friend. Cut a piece of suede into even strips of different sizes, use scissors to make a fringe on one side of each strip. Squeeze PVA glue into a wide container and dilute twice with plenty of water.
Step 2
In this mixture, generously moisten all your fringed blanks, then put them all together on paper napkins and twist slightly. Now you need to release the suede cuts and leave to dry in this wrinkled form.
Step 3
Then arrange the strips in order of increasing width. Select the narrowest of them and, without touching the fringe, apply glue with a hot gun along the entire length. The strip must be twisted with glue inward, a similar operation is carried out with the rest of the cut suede, from the narrowest to the widest.
Step 4
Leave the blanks to dry again. Cut a circle out of the leather with a diameter slightly less than the diameter of the rubber band. Make cuts on the sides of the circle, and apply glue on the back. The circle is pressed against the elastic so that the cuts wrap around it. On the other hand, glue the fringed strips to the elastic, you should get a chic terry flower.
Step 5
If such a flower is planned to be worn not as an elastic band, but as a hairpin, do not make cuts on the circle. Glue the fringe directly onto the circle. And on the back of the circle, you need to attach the base of the metal hair clip.
Step 6
You can also make simple original keychains from thick leather. With a pencil on a small piece, draw the outline of the desired figure (you can circle the finished one) and cut it out. You need to make two such pieces, which are mirror images of each other.
Step 7
On the front part, you can sew or glue buttons-eyes, beads, etc. Pieces are sewn right over the edge with contrasting threads, leaving one side open so that the keychain can be stuffed with cotton or foam rubber. When the keychain is ready, the open part needs to be sewn. A loop for the ring is made in the upper part. It is also advisable to make this loop leather, since the thread can easily break.

Those who know how to knit can try making a leather case for a phone or glasses. Cut out two identical parts from soft leather, inside which the object for which the cover is intended can fit freely. At this point, you can embroider your original design or frame on the front side. Holes are punched along the edges with an indent of 3 mm, with the help of which the two parts are connected by tying two columns in each hole without a crochet. Instead of embroidery, the finished cover can be decorated with rhinestones, which are glued with leather glue.
