According to the Eastern calendar, 2018 is the year of the yellow Dog. Try to sew a cheerful and friendly creature and you can be sure that your year will be successful.
It is necessary
- - cotton fabric for the trunk, clothes and bones;
- - hallfizer;
- - 4 buttons with two holes;
- - 4 beads with a diameter of 4mm;
- - narrow satin ribbon;
- - floss;
- - lace
Instructions
Step 1
Transfer the patterns of the head, torso and paws to the folded fabric, in accordance with the direction arrow of the common thread.
Step 2
Sew with fine stitches without cutting out the details. Leaving the holes on the head and torso, stitch the legs and ears completely.
Step 3
Cut out all parts with a 5 mm seam allowance. Leave a 3 mm allowance on the head groove. After aligning the seams, pin up with a pin. Sew the dart in one seam.
Step 4
Scribble along the edge of the parts. Smooth the edges of the seam allowances on both sides of the head.
Step 5
Spread out the paws and ears in a mirror - left and right. Make 5 mm cross cuts on them in one layer of fabric at the places marked on the pattern.
Step 6
Turn out the parts with a stick, straighten and iron. Fill all the details, except for the ears, tightly with holofiber. Add a little filler to your ears and press it down with an iron.
Step 7
Sew holes on the legs, head and torso. Fold the head with the body, aligning the seams, so that the head is slightly tilted forward. Fix the position of the head with pins.
Step 8
Sew around the neck 2 times with a blind stitch. Keep your head in one direction while working.
Step 9
Attach the ears to the head with a blind seam: at the top and sides - close to the seam, below - by a third of the height.
Step 10
Sew on the paws with a button-thread fastening. First, fix the paws on the body by piercing the toy through with 1-2 long needles.
Step 11
Run the seams with strong thread (or regular 8-ply thread) several times from one paw to the other. Close the sewing area with buttons. Place the upper legs at a height of 2-2.5 cm from the head.
Step 12
Draw the nose. First sew 2 side stitches from top to bottom, then embroider the nose with straight floss stitches in 3 folds. Next, embroider the smile with long stitches.
Step 13
Mark the places for the eyes. Form the eye sockets by sewing a few stitches from the designated points to the back of the head. Sew on the beaded eyes.
Step 14
To make a bone, transfer the pattern to a colored fabric folded in half. Cut out the part with a 4 mm allowance.
Step 15
Sew along the edge and leave a small hole. Make notches, turn out. Stuff the bone tightly, sew with a blind seam. Tie a satin ribbon around the dog's neck.
