This spring promises to be romantic. Floral motifs and delicate colors dominate in clothes and accessories. Brooches and hairpins in the form of fabric flowers can be bought in every second store. And if you don't want to find out later that half of the city wears the same lace roses, you can make a unique decoration with your own hands.

Instructions
Step 1
Choose ribbons for the petals. Silk ones, 5-7 cm wide, are best suited. About a meter of length is enough for 1 rose. In addition to the base color, choose 1-2 additional ones. Ribbons of secondary colors can be less wide (about 3 cm) and not necessarily silk, here you should not be afraid of synthetics. For example, translucent materials look good. 20 cm of additional color will be enough.
Step 2
Cut the tape into blank pieces 3x3 cm in size (1/3 of the total number of petals), 2x2 and 1.5x1.5 (also one third of the total number of petals), round the edges of the blanks. Make literally 3-4 petals from ribbons of complementary flowers.
Step 3
Prepare a work area where you will process the material with a candle flame. Make sure there are no flammable materials around. One small tablet candle is enough for work.
Step 4
Take a petal and hold it over the fire so that the flame barely touches the cut site - this will save the fabric from sprinkling. Do not hold the workpiece over the fire for too long, just a second is enough, otherwise it may ignite. Then draw the petal over the candle so that the flame touches the entire surface of the workpiece, only this time the distance between the fire and the fabric should be much greater - under the influence of high temperature, the petal will bend and take on a natural shape resembling a real flower. Thus, process all the petals. Don't be discouraged if the edges darken - this usually only brightens the finished piece.
Step 5
Now you can start collecting the rose in one piece. To better understand how the finished accessory will look, assemble it first, just on a pin. When it becomes clear in what sequence it is better to string the petals, they can already be collected on a string. If you want the flower to be somewhat “disheveled”, sew on the petals, placing them face-to-face with each other, so that a small stalk forms at the base. If you like a neat flower, then just lay the petals on top of one another and sew through with small stitches with a thread to match. Do not forget that the smallest details should be in the center of the rose. You can also sew a mother-of-pearl bead into the center of the flower.
Step 6
Sew a pin to the back of the finished brooch.
