Instructions
Step 1
Buy a dense fabric with an insulated seam, this material is convenient to sew, since there is no need to cut the front and lining parts. Prepare a pattern of loose trousers (it should be slightly larger, given the density of the material). If you are sewing pants for a child, mark the places for additional reinforcement (knees and edges of the legs).
Step 2
Spread the linen out on a flat surface and iron. Apply a pattern, circle with a tailor's chalk, taking into account the seam allowances, cut out. Separately prepare the details that strengthen the knees and the bottom of the product. Baste pockets and other decorative elements to the fabric pattern, stitch.
Step 3
Fold the canvases right side in. Sweep the side seams, and then the crotch seams, try on (walk around, sit down). If you are comfortable and comfortable in your trousers, sew all seams twice. Sew additional patches from the inside out to the child's model.
Step 4
Turn out, sew a zipper to the side seam. Sweep off parts of the belt, stitch it to the top edge, insert the elastic, secure its ends. A variant of the belt can be a ready-made wide elastic band, comfortable in that it adapts to any waist size.
Step 5
You can also insulate your pants in an easier way. Take a ready-made thing convenient for you one size larger, work with the wrong side. Buy a lining on an adhesive base, make four rectangular stripes out of it - two back and two front ones, with a width slightly less than the width of the legs. Put any things in the turned-out trousers, stuff as for a mannequin.
Step 6
Apply insulation to the fabric, carefully sweep, iron with an iron through cheesecloth to glue to the legs. Turn it out, from the front side you can mark the places of insulation with decorative stitching. Do the same warm thing with patches of thick fabric in places vulnerable to the cold, for example, insulate the back pockets. Warm pants are ready, and you are protected from wind and frost.
