If the pants that you really like are getting too big, you can find a solution to this problem. They need to be sewn in at the sides or at the waist. And to do it correctly and quickly, follow the instructions below.
It is necessary
- - mirror;
- - crayon;
- - tape measure;
- - ruler;
- - scissors;
- - threads;
- - a needle;
- - sewing machine
Instructions
Step 1
If your trousers have become large in the belt and need to be sewn in, open the belt loop, carefully support the belt and then cut it in half. Remove part of the stitching (finishing) along the middle seam. Next, work with the middle seam: sew it so that the pants fit better.
Step 2
Then sew the belt, place it over the trousers, restore the finishing stitching. Sew the belt loop again. Now, if you've done everything right, the pants should fit a lot better.
Step 3
If there is a need to sew trousers at the seams, first put them on, stand in front of a mirror and mark the places (on yourself, small) in which you want to reduce the volume: the back middle seam, side seams and the seams on the inside of the leg. Mark other places that will be sutured.
Step 4
Take off your pants, baste along the outlined lines, first one leg, then the other.
Step 5
Put your pants back on and, standing in front of the mirror, compare the legs. If everything suits you, unstitch the seams and make new ones along the outlined lines.
Step 6
To keep the trousers in shape, subtract equally on the outside and on the inside of the product.
Step 7
After making new seams, iron them and try on the pants.
Step 8
Only after you are convinced that everything is done correctly, and the pants are now just the right size for you, you can cut off the excess seam allowances and sweep them again.
Step 9
If you want to sew in slightly flared trousers in straight or tapered to the bottom, put them on, mark the knee line with a pin. Mark the desired leg width. Take off your pants, take a long ruler, and draw a straight line of taper. Sew a seam along it, overcast the edges and smooth the seams. Evaluate the result in front of the mirror. If you did everything correctly, the pants should fit perfectly on you without any distortions.
Step 10
Another option: put on the trousers on the left side and evaluate on the spot to what state you want to sew them, you can immediately baste or draw a seam. Remove and suture according to marks.
