In the arsenal of ninja warriors there were many types of a wide variety of weapons. Nunchaku, a melee weapon, which is two short round or faceted sticks connected by a cord or chain, has become widespread in Japan, China and Korea. A safe training version of this formidable weapon can be made by hand.
It is necessary
Old wallpaper roll, cord, awl or drill, duct tape, knife, scissors
Instructions
Step 1
Take a roll of old wallpaper, a 5-6 mm cord and electrical tape. Cut the roll across so that the length of the handle matches the distance from the elbow to the middle of the palm. The result is two pieces of wallpaper slightly longer than the forearm.
Step 2
Roll one roll more tightly to make a 3 cm diameter tube. The wrapped wallpaper layer should be about 1 cm long.
Step 3
Cut off the excess and wrap the ends of the roll with duct tape. Do the same for the second piece of wallpaper.
Step 4
Step back about 5 cm from the edge of the handle and make a through hole. First, mark the holes with a nail, and then pierce with an awl or screwdriver. You can also use a drill to make the holes smoother.
Step 5
Thread the cord through the hole. To make it easier to do this, wrap one end of the cord with duct tape and sharpen it so it will easily pass through the holes. Tie a straight knot at the front ends of the handles.
Step 6
Make the length between the handles equal to 11-12 cm. A more precise length is selected individually and should be equal to the width of your palm. Keep in mind that stretching of the cord may increase its length slightly over time. After making the final adjustments to the length of the cord, tie the ends tightly with a straight knot and cut the unnecessary ones. Burn the ends of the cord over the fire so that they do not come apart.
Step 7
Wrap the nunchaku handles with electrical tape. The ancient ninja weapon is ready, you can start training.
