The owner of a registered weapon, who is going to build a safe or cabinet for storing weapons, must remember that the device must correspond to the number of weapons and ammunition, and also take into account the characteristics of the room where the safe will be installed.

A homemade safe must be fire resistant, unbreakable and waterproof. The design of the safe should correspond to the type of weapons stored (shotguns, guns, pistols, etc.). A separate ammunition storage compartment is required.
Step 3
The simplest container is suitable for storing weapons for individuals, but the bodies of the licensing and permitting system impose increased requirements on legal entities. The safe must be made of metal, the walls must be at least 3 mm thick. The safe must be equipped with two external locks. Additionally, it is recommended to make a vertical transom system in the safe.
Step 4
Consider structural elements that allow the safe to be secured to the floor or wall. It is imperative to attach a large safe, otherwise it may fall if it is heavily loaded.
Step 5
A regular metal box with one lock is suitable for storing pistols. Economy class weapon safes can also be made by yourself. You will need steel with a thickness of 1.5 mm. This safe can be equipped with a handle for easy portability.
Step 6
More reliable unsaturated safes can be made of steel with a thickness of 3 mm, the door is recommended to be made of sheet with a thickness of 6 mm for greater reliability.
