The first original Russian telenovela "Wedding Ring" became the second domestic TV series, based on which a foreign adaptation was filmed. Popular with viewers, "The Wedding Ring" has become one of the longest "soap operas" in Russian cinema - so how many episodes are there in it?
Plot description
The series tells the story of three people who, by the will of fate, became fellow travelers on a train going to Moscow. A young girl Anastasia goes to the capital to help her mother and find her father, the famous academician Kovalev, who does not even know about the existence of her nineteen-year-old daughter. Nastya is carrying a wedding ring with her, which the academician presented to her mother, planning to prove with its help family ties with Kovalev.
The series "Wedding Ring" combines three ideally combined genres - drama, melodrama and mysticism.
Her fellow traveler Olga goes to Moscow in search of a rich husband who can provide for her. In this she relies on her ex-girlfriend Dasha, who is currently engaged to a businessman. Seeing Nastya's wedding ring, Olga steals the jewelry. The young talented doctor Igor, who recently buried his mother and is heading to Moscow with one goal - to avenge her death, is also traveling with the girls in the carriage. Nastya and Igor like each other, but their problems do not allow them to get to know each other better - after arriving in the capital, their paths diverge, but they do not even suspect how fate will bring them together in the near future.
Number of episodes
The television series "Wedding Ring" surpassed all other series created by the television company "TeleROMAN" in the rating. Every month the film crew and the cast of actors filmed about twenty-five episodes - the original plans of the creators of the series were to shoot only two hundred episodes. However, the audience received the "Wedding Ring" so warmly that it was decided to add another two hundred episodes, and then off we go, and as a result, the series was stretched into 825 episodes.
"Wedding Ring" was shown by channels from Ukraine and Russia - and Ukrainian viewers watched the series much more willingly.
Over time, some of the actors involved in the series began to gradually withdraw from the distance and leave the "Wedding Ring" (Yuri Baturin, Alina Sandratskaya and others). The reason for their departure was invitations to other TV shows, family circumstances, the desire to spend more time with their family, and so on. With the increase in the number of episodes, it became increasingly difficult for the actors to maintain the shooting pace and the lack of new perspectives, so the faces of the characters in the "Wedding Ring" from time to time were replaced by the faces of new actors, which is inevitable with such "long-running" series.
