The series "You Can't Order Your Heart" is based on the story of the family of Grigory Varlamov. Varlamov, a successful businessman who built a huge financial empire called "Balance", came from the dashing 90s.
Tough, and in some places cruel in his treatment not only with his subordinates, but also with members of his own family Varlamov, when necessary, went to the crime.
With the help of his mistress, the wife of his partner Alexei Matetsky, he brought the latter to a heart attack, and when he was gone, he forged documents, paying well to a lawyer.
Yet Varlamov, despite his dark past and illegal actions, sometimes arouses sympathy. He is energetic, cheerful, loves to make fun of his household. When in a good mood, he plays the guitar, recalling the distant young years.
Everything was going perfect. Varlamov calculated everything, but did not take into account only Alexandra, the daughter of her late friend Matetsky, who set herself the goal of avenging him for the death of her father. At first, Varlamov thought that with the help of money he would be able to win over Matetsky's daughter to his side. Alexandra dutifully took the money, believing that she was legally entitled to a part of Varlamov's business, but she did not stop looking for a way to destroy him.
Varlamov also had enemies in his own family. He has long turned against himself his daughter from his first marriage, Nastya, his wife Ksenia, a glamorous visitor to expensive boutiques and salons, and his adopted son Mikhail. Noticing how his wife and children were quietly talking about something, he liked to ask ironically: "Against whom are we friends?" Varlamov sincerely considered them dependents and incapable people. Over time, members of his family also began to weave intrigues against him.
The series ends with the death of Varlamov. In the last episode, his car, along with him and the driver, the main executor of all dirty errands Varlamovaezh, fell from the bridge into the river.
