A postcard is a familiar and convenient way to congratulate. The stores offer a huge assortment of this printed matter - with funny pictures and beautiful photographs, empty and with ready-made congratulations. However, if you want to surprise a loved one, you can make a postcard with your own hands.

It is necessary

  • - ready-made musical card;
  • - contour;
  • - thick cardboard;
  • - lace;
  • - scraps of fabric;
  • - feathers;
  • - beads;
  • - sequins;
  • - rhinestones;
  • - paper;
  • - stationery knife;
  • - scissors;
  • - stencils;
  • - glue.

Instructions

Step 1

If you decide to make a musical postcard, you will have to go to the store and buy a ready-made one with a suitable composition. Sorry, there are no items that play Christmas carols or Happy Birthday.

Step 2

To make a postcard, you will need thick cardboard so that your gift does not tear or deform due to the protruding musical element. Beautiful single-sided or double-sided cardboard can be purchased at art stores.

Step 3

To create a beautiful postcard, any little things that you have in your house are suitable: remnants of lace, feathers, interesting buttons, sequins, beads, scraps of fabric. It is also advisable to have golden or silver outlines with which you can make a beautiful and voluminous congratulatory inscription. If you are not a fan of keeping unnecessary things at home, and you have nothing to decorate the postcard with, get a scrapbooking kit.

Step 4

Cut out a suitable sized rectangle from the cardboard for the base of the card. It is best to cut not with scissors, but with a clerical knife. Then fold the card in half.

Step 5

Leave some space on the cover for the greeting lettering that you will do at the end of the work, and start decorating. Cut out butterflies, leaves or flowers from plain or colored paper using a stencil (they can be downloaded on the Internet). Glue a piece of lace diagonally, put butterflies on it, attach a couple of buttons next to it. Lay out the ornament with rhinestones or beads.

Step 6

Write with an outline "Congratulations!", "Happy birthday!" or any other inscription corresponding to the holiday, and leave the postcard to dry.

Step 7

Carefully remove the musical element from the finished postcard and glue it on the inside of the postcard. Decorate the mechanism with a piece of lace or a piece of fabric. Now it remains to write a wish to the hero of the occasion, and your do-it-yourself musical card is ready.
