You can please your mother on a holiday with a lot of things: a cleaned apartment, washed dishes, good grades in a diary, and also a beautiful and unusual postcard made with your own hands. This will take only half an hour of time and, of course, the desire to give mom a nice gift, which she will put in the most prominent place or keep as a keepsake.

Postcard in the form of a volumetric applique

To make a cheerful and colorful Mother's Day card, you will need:

- cardboard;

- colored paper;

- velvet paper;

- scissors;

- PVA glue;

- a simple pencil;

- decorative buttons, stickers, colored tape, etc. - for craft decor.

Take a sheet of colored cardboard as the base for your postcard. In case the dad does the craft with the child, it is worthwhile to think over its color scheme in advance, and then offer to use materials and colors that are combined with each other. Then even a very simple postcard will look harmonious.

Make a template from a piece of cardboard. To do this, circle the child's palm, correct the contours and cut out. From velvet green self-adhesive paper, cut out the palm using this template, which will serve as the trunk for your tree.

From colored paper, make blanks of different colors and sizes for flowers. For each flower, you will need 3 blanks - large, medium and small. Cut them out like snowflakes. At the same time, you will practice these skills for the New Year.

Place all the elements on the prepared colored cardboard, and then glue it one by one. Additionally, you can decorate the middle of the flowers - for example, sticking bright stickers there.

Your tree will now need a pot. Cut it out of colored cardboard and glue it. Decorate the pot with colored tape and stickers. However, for this purpose, you can use seeds, and cereals, and sparkles, and buttons, etc.

Now all that remains is to sign the Mother's Day card on the back. This can be done by the child himself (if he already knows how to write), and another family member. You can also leave handprints for all congratulations. It will turn out to be very touching and cute.

Delicate card with lush flowers

For a postcard with lush flowers, you will need:

- cardboard;

- napkins (ordinary single-layer will do);

- stapler;

- wooden skewer;

- self-hardening clay or plasticine;

- caps;

- glue;

- pencil;

- scissors.

Draw circles on napkins of different colors. To make this process easier, circle the cap of any product that fits in the diameter.

After that, cut out the resulting blanks. Then take a sheet of pastel or white cardboard, fold it in half and make the base for the card. Now take blanks from napkins and make flowers from them. This can be done in one of two ways.

Option 1. Glue small pieces of self-hardening clay or plasticine to the base for the craft. These will be the foundations for future flowers. Then take a circle of napkin and shape it with a wooden skewer. Place the resulting petal on plasticine and glue with glue. Make the remaining petals in the same way.

Option 2. Take the blanks from the napkins, and then fasten them with a stapler in the center. Squeeze the napkins to create a flower. Glue the resulting flowers onto a craft blank. Cut a small strip from the green napkin, then twist it into a spiral and make a stem. Glue it to each flower for a complete composition.

Now you know how to make a DIY Mother's Day card. Whichever version of the craft you choose, the main thing is to approach the process creatively and with love.
