It is necessary

  • - cord (waxed is better);
  • - beads of different colors;
  • - scissors;
  • - glue;
  • - minimal macrame skills;
  • - a pillow or a piece of rectangular styrofoam.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a pillow or styrofoam and secure a vertical thread or cord 40-50 cm long with pins. On this cord, you must first string as many beads as you want to see in your bracelet.

Step 2

Then you need to take another cord about 2–2, 2 meters long, tying it on the main thread so that you have the same length on both sides.

Step 3

After that, you need to move on to weaving macrame, more precisely, square knots. To do this, you need to take the left thread, pass it under the base and put it on the thread on the right. Tighten the knot. Such actions must be carried out alternately with the left and right threads, since otherwise the bracelet will twist like a snake.

Step 4

When you braid 25-30 knots, you will need to braid the first bead that is strung onto the base. To secure the bead carefully so that it does not roll around the entire bracelet, you need to use the same square knot.

Step 5

It is necessary to tighten the thread when weaving the beads more strongly, since the knots will loosen when worn, spoiling the appearance of the entire bracelet. You need to fasten each bead by making three square knots - this will securely hold the bead in place.

Step 6

Thus, you will need to braid all the beads on the base, and then go back to weaving square knots, as at the very beginning of the bracelet.

Step 7

After you finish the bracelet, remove the not yet completely finished product from the pins. On both sides, you will need to step back 4–6 cm and tie a regular knot from the main cord (thread).

Step 8

Cut off the remnants of the cord, singe or grease the last knots with glue. This will prevent the bracelet from loosening over time.

Step 9

To make the bracelet adjustable, you will need to fold the warp threads into a circle. Then use the side threads to braid the joint using the familiar square knots. For a secure fit, 5-6 square knots will be enough for you.

Step 10

Tie two knots from the side threads from the seamy side, and then carefully cover them with glue or varnish. If the leftover threads are very long, you can trim them. The Shambhala bracelet is ready!
