The Shambhala bracelet is not just a fashionable piece of jewelry, it has a special meaning. It is believed that it brings good luck to its owner, protects from troubles and evil spirits. You can enhance the energy of the bracelet several times if you make it yourself.

The Shambhala bracelet appeared many centuries ago thanks to Tibetan monks who tied 9 knots on silk laces. Subsequently, they began to weave round beads made of semi-precious stones into them. These wonderful bracelets entered modern fashion back in 1994, when the Shamballa brand was created, founded by Mads and Mikkel Corneral. Jewelry made of precious stones and metals was made under this brand. Of course, they began to be copied and Shambhala bracelets appeared from semiprecious, plastic, wooden and other beads, which it is quite possible to weave with our own hands.

To weave a shambhala bracelet you will need:

  • waxed or thin leather cord 2m long;
  • several beads with a diameter of 1 cm;
  • 2 beads of smaller diameter;
  • scissors;
  • PVA glue;
  • lighter;
  • wooden plank 20-25 cm long;
  • stationery clip.

Pick up a lace for weaving shambhala. It can be in tone with the beads or in a contrasting color.

Prepare the required number of beads. Traditionally, 9 pieces were used for weaving, but in a modern bracelet there can be absolutely any number of them. Moreover, their shape can also be different: round, with edges, or fantasy (for example, in the form of a skull or a flower). The only condition is that the diameter of the hole must be so large that the lace can freely pass through it. Cut 2 cords. One is shorter, 50-60 cm long, the second is 2 times longer. Singe the ends of the waxed cord with a lighter (if you are using a leather cord, then you do not need to do this).

Tie one end of a short piece with a tight knot. Lay the cord vertically on the board, knot up, about 20 cm from the edge. Secure the string to the board with a clerical clip.

Fold the long lace in half and attach to the base. Tie it in a simple knot. Please note that its ends should be the same length. After that, tie the lace with a flat square knot, which is the main one in macrame. To do this, wind the left part of the working cord to the right, put it on the end located to the right of the base cord. Then take the right end of the lace, wind it to the left, placing it under the base cord, and insert it into the resulting loop. Tighten the knot by holding both ends of the working thread. Make another knot, but repeat all steps in a mirror image.

String a bead onto the base cord. Then tie a flat square knot underneath it with a working cord. Then string the bead again and tie a square knot under it. Weave the bracelet in this way to the required size.

To secure the knots, apply some PVA glue to the first and last knots and wait until it is completely dry. After drying, the glue will become transparent and will not be visible in the finished product. Remove the bartack and carefully cut off the excess ends of the work lace.

Now it remains to make the clasp for the bracelet. To do this, you will need the remaining piece of cord. Fold the 2 ends of the base together, lay them on top of each other, and braid them with several flat square knots. On the latter, apply a little PVA glue, wait until it is completely dry, and then cut off the excess ends.

On each end of the lace, string 1 small bead and secure them with a simple knot, then apply a little glue and cut off the excess. Singe them with a lighter if necessary.
