Various kinds of textile cords are widely used in everyday life. They can be used both as various ties and as a decorative element. And it doesn't have to be boring store cords. You can crochet an unusual, original cord yourself.

Instructions
Step 1
Find the right crochet hook for the yarn you are using. For knitting a decorative cord, it is better to use yarn folded in one thread.
Step 2
Crochet the first loop and tie a chain of chain stitches of the required length. To do this, pull out the next loop from the first loop, from which knit the next one in the same way. And so on until a chain of the required length is obtained. From such a chain, after finishing the work and securing the thread, you can make a simple cord. If you want to tie a decorative cord, then the work does not stop there.
Step 3
Turn the job, leaving the last chain to lift. Work the next row in a crustacean step. This type of knitting is characterized by the fact that the row is knitted from left to right. Holding the hook before work, insert it into each successive loop of the chain of chain loops from the front side. Bring the working thread back and pull it with a crochet hook from the seamy side to the front one. Next, knit with one loop the two formed on the hook.
Step 4
Continue in this manner until the end of the chain of chain stitches. At the end of the work, cut and secure the thread. Use a crochet hook to hide the ends of the threads into the finished cord.
Step 5
Wash the finished cord in warm soapy water. Dry by spreading it out with your hands and spreading it out on a horizontal surface on a towel. In order to achieve an even, non-twisting appearance of the cord, you can additionally fix it with safety pins when drying.
