Modern children have practically lost interest in space topics. It is possible to revive children's interest in space by building together with them in a labor lesson a model of a spaceship, similar to those that their fathers built in childhood.

Instructions

Step 1

The main detail of the spaceship mockup is the cylinder. Use it as a cardboard can of Pringles chips or others in similar packaging. Thoroughly clean it from food debris. Use a spray can to paint the jar silver, then dry. Spray paint from a distance of about half a meter, otherwise the paint will take a long time to dry. Do not use open fire for this.

Step 2

Make imitation solar panels. To do this, take two slim CD boxes. Saturate two sheets of paper, cut to fit the boxes, with blue ink - they will mimic the color of real solar panels well. Put them in boxes. Do not attach the latter to the cylinder yet.

Step 3

Take the MODEL KNIFE. Cut a few windows into the cylinder. Tighten from the inside with plastic wrap cut from a plastic bottle. A colored bottle can be used if desired. Outside, around the portholes, draw round frames with screws on top of the silver paint with an indelible marker - they can be simulated simply with dots.

Step 4

Real spaceships do not flash during flight. But the layout will look much better if you endow it with this ability. Take the finished flashing block from the broken toy and place it inside the cylinder, making holes for the LEDs. Modify it to be powered by AA batteries or an external unit with the same voltage as in the original. Observe the polarity. If using batteries, add a toggle switch and place it on the cover.

Step 5

Take two or three plastic spoons and cut off the handles from them. These will be parabolic antennas. Secure them to the ship with paper clips. Make converter holders out of them. Imitate the converters themselves with small caps from fountain pens. Place them in the same way as on real parabolic antennas that are found in every home today.

Step 6

Make a stand for the model. Place the cylinder vertically on it. Then fix the solar panels on it with corners and screws and nuts. The layout is ready.
