When the daughter was almost three, the parent of the future famous actress filed for divorce. Unexpectedly for everyone, a year later, the girl's father died. A little later, the mother moved to Cleveland, having given her daughter in advance to another family.
Unofficially, Jane received the surname of her new relatives, Falx. The adoptive parents were very strict with the child. The girl has practically no happy memories of staying in a foster family.
At eleven, the adoptive mother took her daughter with her. Together they moved to California to live with the older children of Emma Falks. After a couple of years, both returned to Missouri.
Jane went to a local school. Then the talented girl began performing on the radio with musical compositions.
Carier start
The girl dropped out of school at fifteen and went to Hollywood. Wanting to start earning legally as soon as possible, the young lady independently "matured" for several years. She replaced the fifth of January with the fourth, and reduced the year to 1914.
