Step 1
Make a blank. Lock the jig in the clamp. Saturate the mounting thread with glue so that the body of the blende does not slide over the smooth surface of the hook. In addition, glue-based blende can serve much longer.
Step 2
Put some glue on the paper, dip a piece of thread into the glue and, holding the thread with your finger, pull it through the glue. Clean your fingers, wipe with a cloth; during this time, the thread will be saturated with glue and even dry out. Wind the thread, loop to loop, from the body of the jig to the middle of the hook. Be sure to leave the free ends long enough to later secure the rest of the blende elements.
Step 3
Shape your body. First, on the shank of the hook, from the side of the jig, put a piece of woolen yarn, then a piece of decorative thread, and finally, attach the base of the feather. When applying the pen, make sure that its outer margin is facing the forend. This position will determine the correct winding of the feather at the final stage of creating the blende. With the end of the mounting thread that remains on the side of the jig, fix the 'sandwich' on the hook with several turns around the forend. Now cut off the excess thread soaked in glue.
Step 4
Now wind the yarn from the jig to the bend of the hook so that a thickening is formed on the shank of the hook. Bring the yarn to the underwear, fix the edge with two turns of the end of the assembly thread. You made the body of the trick.
Step 5
Breathe life into your fly, give the blende such a look so that, being in the water, it moves in front of the fish like a living organism. Take a decorative thread - a twig and a cock feather. Make 3-4 turns on the fly's body with decorative thread.
Step 6
Now, with a few turns of the mounting, fix the twist on the pod and cut off the rest of it. Wind the feather so that its shaft lies between the turns of the twist without covering it. Secure the end of the feather to the pod with a mounting thread. Using a needle, carefully pull out the barbs that are pressed down.
Fix the fastening winding with clear varnish and a thin brush. Let the blende dry out.
