There are many options for sewing a dress of a flying silhouette, which can be created in an hour. For sewing such products, you need to choose a light flowing fabric that matches your color.
Tunic dress with elastic
When you start sewing a fly-apart dress for a summer party, you only need to take two measurements: the half-girth of the chest and the length of the product. The last measurement should be doubled, add 3 cm for processing the sections and fold the fabric in half with the front part inward. In the center of the fold line, mark the half girth of the chest and cut straight along the line.
The next step is to process the bottom of the product and the armhole by tucking and stitching the edges of the sections. Then cut the required length of the wide elastic band. It should fit snugly over the chest, but not press. So that the elastic does not bloom during the process of wearing the product, its edges should be processed. After sewing the ends of the elastic, it should be stitched to the armhole from the wrong side so that the main part is visible above the fabric. This completes the sewing of the product. This dress silhouette has its own English definition - tent dress.
Half-sun dress
To make this model, you will need 3 m of artificial silk with a floral pattern. With the right side folded in half, mark the length of the garment. To do this, from the corner at a distance of 145 cm, set aside a line in the form of a semicircle. The neck should be marked in the same way at a distance of 20 cm from the corner. After that, the part needs to be cut.
For this type of flapping dress, you need to take one measurement - the length of the armhole from the shoulder point to the middle of the back, which runs close at hand. After that, from the center of the neck of the future dress, draw a perpendicular segment of arbitrary length, the beginning of which will serve as the shoulder point. Focusing on it, set aside the decollete mark from the fold side and cut off the excess fabric.
Next, you need to sew the product, and process the armhole line with an oblique inlay. In the area of the neck from the inside, you need to sew a braid that will serve as a drawstring. In the latter, you can thread a bright cord or ribbon and tie it around your neck. The finished dress will look beautiful with a medium-width belt.
Bubu dress
Another very easy fly-out dress is bubu. This silhouette is originally from Africa, so it would be appropriate to choose a light fabric with a leopard, tiger or any other animal print for sewing it.
Having measured the length of the product (the best choice would be a floor length), as in the previous case, the fabric is folded in half, and an incision is made in the center. The armhole can be of any length, but not more than the width of the shoulders, otherwise the dress will simply not hold. After that, all sections are processed on a sewing machine.
The product can be girded with a leather belt or cord and worn without sewing, or you can pre-sew the sides of the dress, leaving 30 cm for the sleeves.
