Sooner or later, every artist faces the question: what to write? The answer to this question is much simpler than it might seem. You can draw literally anything, because in every thing you can find a lot of interesting things: shape, color, texture. The most important thing is to be able to see the unusual and attractive in the simplest and most everyday.

It is necessary

A graphite rod, a sheet of thick paper, brushes, acrylic paints

Instructions

Step 1

Take a graphite rod and sketch it out. As a result, it will help you write quickly and fluently. Consider the basic outlines of the objects and how they fit into the triangular format. Think about how best to arrange the objects on the paper in order to bring the background to life with the cast shadows. Decide what the foreground of your composition should be.

Step 2

In order to outline the contours of the composition, mix in equal proportions ultramarine and raw umber. You will get a neutral tone, the intensity of which will depend on the amount of water added to the paint. Dilute the paint vigorously with water and sketch the outline of the composition with a # 4 brush, referring to your preliminary sketch. Strive to keep the lines confident and simple. Don't forget about cast shadows and don't disturb the triangular structure of the composition.

Step 3

Finish the outline drawing with bold, downward-facing lines. They show the direction of the main folds on the hanging garment. Set and outline the location and outline of the shadows on the wall using a highly diluted mixture of ultramarine and raw umber.

Step 4

Continuing to paint with confident brush strokes, paint the raincoat with ultramarine. Add raw umber to the ultramarine and draw the outline of the dark cloak. Then dilute this paint more with water to paint the shadow on the wall.

Step 5

It's time to deepen the cold shadow lying on the wall and baseboard. Mix several colors: white, raw umber, ultramarine, some yellow ocher and red cadmium. Use this paint to paint an even, thick shadow.

Step 6

Mix gray white paint with raw umber and paint the shaded top of the skirting board. Lighten the paint with whitewash and paint the raincoat hanging on the hanger.

Step 7

Refine the outline of the hanger with a dark mixture of raw umber and ultramarine.

Step 8

Walk through the painting and deepen the shaded areas of the composition with a mixture of raw umber and ultramarine. Pay special attention to deep shadows in the folds of your clothes.
