Artists have long noticed the peculiarities of displaying some details in mirrors, and therefore often use them to create a special atmosphere of the picture. They draw on canvases both the mirrors themselves and the image obtained with their help.
It is necessary
- - paper;
- - ruler;
- - two pencils (HB and B);
- - eraser;
- - a flat mirror, for example, oval;
- - a vase (any object that will be displayed in a flat mirror).
Instructions
Step 1
Start by staging. Select a mirror and place an object in front of it, such as a vase. You can throw on fabric and drape.
Step 2
Take paper and draw a rectangle about 15 by 10 cm in size in the very center using a pencil and a ruler. Divide its sides in half with perpendicular lines.
Step 3
Mark in the figure the points of contact of perpendicular lines with the sides of the rectangle, placing notes in the places of such touches. As a result, you should get four notes (two horizontally and two vertically). Connect these points together in such a way that you get an oval.
Step 4
Sharpen the shape on the paper by tracing its outline again with a pencil. Use the eraser to remove the extra lines that remain from the original rectangle and perpendiculars.
Step 5
Take a soft pencil (B) and start painting over the oval by lightly pressing the pencil, creating soft smooth lines.
Step 6
Take a Hard Pencil (HB) and paint over exactly half on the left side of the mirror. This way, you can visually see the reflection of the shadow. Use your finger to blend the light and dark sides of the mirror so that everything looks like a mirror image.
Step 7
Make some small lines at the top and bottom of the mirror. Draw a frame for it in the form of light patterns that will resemble, for example, waves. Trace the frame several times to make it stand out.
Step 8
Add a shadow on the left side of the frame using a soft pencil. Blend it with your finger.
Step 9
Start drawing a vase that is reflected in a flat mirror. First of all, you should know that you need to draw it slightly tilted back.
Step 10
Take a soft pencil and draw with light lines the silhouette of the vase, making it, so to speak, "lying".
Step 11
Paint over the vase with an HB pencil carefully, without going beyond the contour lines, and add, applying small strokes, a shadow to the right of the subject. Blend the dark and light sides.
Step 12
Draw a shadow on the right side right behind the vase so that it looks clear.
