Each flower is beautiful in its own way. You can capture its beauty with watercolors. Try to convey all the shades of the petals using a combination of different colors.

It is necessary

  • - paper;
  • - a simple pencil;
  • - eraser;
  • - watercolor paints;
  • - palette;
  • - brushes of different thicknesses;
  • - a glass of water.

Instructions

Step 1

Take the flower you want to paint. Place it in a small vase or glass of water. Place the flower on a table or other flat surface so that light from a window or lamp falls on it.

Step 2

Take a piece of paper and clip it to your easel or table. Place open paints, a glass of water, a palette, a pencil and an eraser nearby.

Step 3

Using a simple pencil, mark the center of the composition on the sheet. Indicate the lower border of the composition - the bottom of the vase or glass and the upper border - the edge of the flower petal. Draw the contours of the vase with a thin line, draw the stem, leaves and the flower itself. Draw all the petals of the flower carefully.

Step 4

After you have drawn a drawing with a simple pencil, start coloring. Examine the flower carefully. What color are its petals, what shades are in them. On closer inspection of the petals, you will notice that the color near the base of the bud is less saturated. And the petals themselves have many color shades. Try to match the colors that you can see on the palette.

Step 5

Start coloring the flower from the lightest spots. And gradually introduce darker and more saturated colors. Try to work neatly and not go beyond the boundaries of the drawing outlined in pencil. To add volume to the flower, the shadow side should be darkened.

Step 6

After you have painted the petals of the flower, do not forget to work in the color of its leaves and stem. Then go to the vase. Just try to work on the vase in less saturated colors so that it does not attract more attention than the flower itself.

Step 7

Let your drawing dry. Then take the thinnest brush and outline the contour of the petals with a more saturated color. After finishing work, leave the drawing for a few minutes until the paint is completely dry. Frame the finished work if you wish.
