To create a drawing of a guy, you need to know the proportions of the human body and be able to transfer them to paper. Before starting work, visualize your future drawing and then start acting.
Beginning of drawing
Think over the whole composition of the future drawing. Decide in what position and on what plane the guy will be, whether he will perform any actions, what kind of emotions he will experience, etc. Also try to visualize the color scheme of the drawing and prepare appropriate pencils and crayons.
Avoid one of the most common mistakes - trying to start sketching with facial features and then continue drawing a person after that. First you need, observing the proportions, to apply the outline of the entire drawing. Mark with dots the area of the sheet in which the drawing will be located. If you intend to add other parts, make sure that there is enough space for them as well.
Main steps
Draw the base of the human figure - the outline. To do this, draw a straight and thin vertical line with a pencil. Divide it equally into eight parts. The first top section should match the size of the head. Sketch it. Please note that it is better to make the shape of the young man's face slightly square. On the cheeks, you can immediately outline the cheekbones. Using two thin lines from the chin, mark the outlines of the neck, thus making a transition from the head to the body.
Draw guidelines for the shoulders and forearms. Choose the right body position - the guy can sit, stand, or perform any other action. Depending on this, the body must take appropriate bends.
Mark with dots or small circles where the bends of the arms and legs, depending on the position of the body, and start drawing the limbs. Note that the person's hands reach about mid-thigh. The knee and elbow joints of the body protrude slightly forward, in the form of a cone with rounded edges.
Start drawing the face as soon as the guy's figure is ready. Contour small and expressive eyes, nose and lips. Draw proportional ears depending on the angle of the face. The hair is easiest to make curly, slightly covering the ears. Slightly noticeable strokes can be added to the stubble on the face.
Finish the drawing by adding clothes. For outerwear, the easiest way is to draw a loose T-shirt, shirt or jacket with a zipper or buttons. Dress the guy in trendy pants, jeans, or shorts, depending on the overall idea. "Shoe" your feet in sandals, sneakers or boots. When drawing clothes, take into account the volume of the human body. Once the drawing is ready, carefully erase the excess sketches with the eraser.
