Step 1
Note that the head is shaped like an egg. Usually its lower half is somewhat narrower than the upper one. To draw the head, start by drawing a sphere, which you will later modify to achieve an oval shape. Therefore, draw it with soft lines, then it will be easier for you to erase them with an eraser.
Step 2
Decide on the proportions of your face. Make sure that the parts are clearly related to each other. To do this, it makes sense to divide your sphere into four equal zones. Starting from the top point, ending with the hairline, this is the first part. The second part is the forehead. The third part is in place from the eyes to the tip of the nose. The fourth part includes the distance from the nostrils to the chin. To simplify your subsequent work, you should draw an auxiliary vertical line in the center of the figure.
Step 3
Create eyes on either side of the nose. For convenience, draw a horizontal line at their level. Then there will be no bias to the right or left. Observe the following proportions: the distance between the eyes should be the size of another eye. According to the proportions used, the ears should be drawn at almost the same length and level with the nose. The nose should be drawn so wide that the length of the eye is between its nostrils.

Practice the art of sketching in one go. Take a photograph of a person's head and use it as an example and reference. The photograph can be found in periodicals and in various books with pictures. The main thing is that the face is not depicted or photographed from above or below, but exactly at the level of the eyes, whose portrait you see. For starters, you can even put tracing paper on the photo, sketch the outlines of an oval and sketch out lines of proportions. Try drawing heads in different shapes. You will begin to notice that all people have completely different facial features. Train regularly with plenty of time for your hobby. You will see how easily you will develop the ability to draw the oval of the face.
