In order to draw a tank, you need to break its structure into several simple elements, try to combine them in one drawing, respecting the proportions and scale, and supplement the image with details.
Instructions
Step 1
Start your drawing by constructing the main part of the tank - its armored hull. From the side, it looks like a trapezoid with beveled bottom corners. Moreover, one of them is sharper than the second. The proportions of the tank hull (in particular the T-34) are such that its height is one-fifth of the length of the base of the auxiliary trapezoid. If you look at the tank from the front, it is an isosceles trapezoid set on a rectangle with a wide base. In this case, the aspect ratio of the rectangle is approximately 1 to 3, the base of the trapezoid extends beyond the edges of the rectangle, and its height is half the height of the lower part.
Step 2
Draw the turret of the tank. It is a movable element that looks like an oval or rectangle with rounded edges from above, it can also be hexagonal. Its height is approximately half the height of the armored hull. Draw a hatch on the flat top.
Step 3
Draw a cannon. It is attached to the turret of the tank with a hinge that pivots in only one plane - horizontally. The muzzle length is up to 2/3 of the total size of the tank.
Step 4
Start drawing the caterpillar mover. First, draw several pairs of wheels on either side of the tank. Their diameter should correspond to the size of the tank, if we turn to the auxiliary parts of the armored hull, the diameter of the wheels should be slightly less than the height of the lower rectangle when looking at the tank from the front. In this case, the axles of the wheels should not be in the middle of this part, but located in its lower part. Typically, tanks are equipped with five pairs of travel wheels and a pair of rotating gears on either side.
Step 5
Outline a track structure that encloses the travel and swivel wheels. It consists of many joints, these links are clearly visible in open places.
Step 6
Complete the drawing with small details typical of this or that modification of the tank. Don't forget weld seams, metal rivets, handles and insignia.
